Warrior Sisters offers free, empowerment-based self-defense trainings in Eugene, Oregon, designed to be accessible regardless of experience or fitness level. They provide a six-week series specifically for women and femmes, held on Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, with registration required and limited to 30 participants. The program emphasizes verbal, physical, and awareness skills, and builds progressively.

Northwest Martial Arts

NWMA offers self-defense classes in Brazilian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai/Kickboxing, plus a weekly women's self defense class.

University of Oregon

U of O offers PEMA 116, Women, Trans, and Non-Binary Self-Defense. This class offers a holistic approach to self-defense and sexual assault prevention. If finances are a barrier, or if you are a community member who wishes to take the class, you can contact them at selfdefense@uoregon.edu.

UO Police Department

The UO Police offer 2 free self-defense classes, a basic self-defense class, and a pepper spray class. Classes are open to all students, employees, and community members. You can also request a class for your group.

RMA Martial Arts

RMA offers a free first class for any of their classes. The classes offered are: Krav Maga Street Defense, Kung Fu, Women's Kickboxing, and their Grit 6 self-defense workshops.

Gracie Jiu Jitsu

Offers a Women Empowered Self-Defense program with a free trial. Is it possible to get exercise, learn to defend yourself, have fun, and connect with other empowered women? It is, with Women Empowered®! Achieve your fitness goals PLUS learn to protect yourself with real-world self-defense.

Lethal Lovebirds

Lethal Lovebirds offers instruction in concealed carry, firearms training and skill building, women’s only firearm training, and more. Classes cost between $20-$65.

Pink Pistols Eugene

"We teach queer people to shoot. Then we teach others that we have done so". The Pink Pistols get together at least once a month at local firing ranges to practice shooting, and to acquaint people new to firearms with them. We will help you select a firearm, acquire a permit, and receive proper training in its safe and legal use for self-defense.

Defensive Firearms Instruction

They provide training for security professionals as well as Personal Protection Training for individuals and families of all ages. Classes range from $80-$300, so they are more expensive.

Socialist Rifle Association

Range days, social get-togethers, mutual aid, community gardens, instruction, and more are just some of the things our chapters have organized. Ultimately, the goal of all of these events is to foster a supportive and inclusive community that can work together to achieve its common goals. We are against racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other discriminatory ideologies.
